Billy Sheehan is an iconic bass player that came from the hair metal virtuoso world and has always managed to stay relevant. Over 5 decades of performing has garnered a huge fan base. From Talas to Niacin, from David Lee Roth to his work with Tony MacAlpine, Portnoy, Morse, and many others, Sheehan is a god amoung metal Bass players.
The Attitude Special features a solid Alder body mated to a maple neck with large band-aid fret markers in red on the uber rare thunder blue version. And this one has so little fret wear, it's in Very Good++ condition. Great playability and so much tone. These low ohm original YBW-IC1 and YBS-FSPCX1 Yamaha pickups are clear and clean with excellent mid punch and a rumbly low end. Control layout V1 - neck volume, T1 tone, V2-bridge volume. The tuners are very smooth and easy to turn. The truss rod is engaged and adjusted for optimum playability with room to go in either direction.
The nut measures 1.58", .79" 1st fret depth, .93" at the 12th fret on a U carve near the nut that loses shoulder and transitions to a C by the 12th. Very accessible and comfy for those long stretch intervals and tapping up in the dusty area of the fretboard. It's a 34" scale and weighs 8.8 very well balanced pounds. There are plenty of green examples, few blue.

If a case is not included, your guitar will be securely wrapped for shipment. The Aeris packing system keeps it safe inside a new shipping box made for guitars. Our shipments are fully insured and shipped via UPS Ground or USPS. We are happy to accommodate other shipping options prior to purchase, so just reach out prior to purchase. If you buy it on Reverb, the mandatory Safe Shipping program is fully insured and a signature will be required. Please ensure your delivery address is correct and complete before you buy or make an offer. Shippers cannot change the delivery address on a buyer’s order once completed.
