He was Yamahas top Master Luthier and his work is the best of the best Yamaha has to offer. It features a solid Spruce top, ply Rosewood back and sides, a Mahogany neck, and an Ebony bridge. 7- fan bracing. A lot of tone for the money.
The nut measures 2.07”, neck depth is .90-1.00” at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. The neck is straight and the relief is right to provide optimum playability. Action measures 3.5mm on the low E, 2.5mm on the high with a 3mm tall saddle. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. 650 mm scale. There is clouding to the finish in places as pictured.
