Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a vibey 1989 Yamaha Pulser Bass model PB400RA in Candy Apple Red. This was Yamaha's Precision bass equivalent and featured a solid Alder body, a Maple neck, and Yamaha's proprietary P-Bass split coil pickup. The RA version comes in cool colors like this beauty in Candy Apple Red. The pickup reads 11.1k ohms and has a wide ranging tone from crisp funky highs to room filling lows.
The nut measures 1.60", neck depth is .85"-.99" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a C profile that most folks will recognize. 34" scale, 7.25" radius, 8.8 lbs. It received a fret level, dress, and polish and plays cleanly on low action. Accurately intonated Ernie Ball slinky nickel strings 50-110. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the padded gig bag in the photos.
