Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a survivor 1971 Yamaha SA-15 Hollowbody with the groovy Yamaha Vibrato.  These are fantastic mahogany laminate constructed bodies with a one piece Mahogany neck, and a Rosewood fretboard.  These are very uncommon true hollowbodies in the Yamaha lineup and only lasted 4 years.  It is loaded with the Yamaha single-coils featuring anisotropic ferrite magnets and they deliver a much warmer and complex tonality when compared to single coils.  Yamaha always makes great pickups.

The nut measures 1.69", neck depth is .86"-.98" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively.  It's a D profile with nice shoulders.  Two volume and two tone controls, 3-way switch, 24.75” scale length, 1.75” body depth.  The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability.  The frets are low at .030" but play relativlely cleanly.  We leveled and dressed the frets and there are no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.

There are many scratches, dings, and some dirt on the finish in the crevices.  It's a very good player with a unique tone.  the bridge support is non original. Comes safely packed in the hard case in the photos.  6.08 lbs.
