Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a Yamaha Flying Samurai Bass SBV-500 with a few nice upgrades. A genuine Leo Quan Badass Bridge, Gold Gotoh Tuners, gold strap buttons, and gold screws for the pickguard. The electronics remain all original and the frets exhibit very very little wear. These models were crafted in Taiwan and feature a Rosewood fretboard on a Maple neck mated to an Alder body. These single coil pickups, like all Yamaha pickups, really shine.
The nut measures 1.57", neck depth is .82"-.94" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's your typical medium oval C profile that offers incredible access and comfort. 34" Scale, 10" radius. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. The frets are leveled and polished with a fresh set of Nickel EB 45-110s. Intonation is set and there are no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.
There are scattered dents, scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no operational issues. Comes safely packed in the original Yamaha branded gig bag in the photos.
