Northwest Vintage Guitars is proud to present one honey of a 1983 Yamaha SG1000. Little brother or the venerable SG2000 "Les Paul Killer" that kept Gibson on it's toes for over a decade. The SG1000 benefitted from the same materials and design as the 2000, but less flashy. She's got a great playing neck with a 1.68 inch nut on a Rosewood fretboard. It measures .84 inches at the first fret and 1.01 inches at the 12th. It's a big taper for sure and there's some shoulder up high. It's a D carve, but a nice hand filling size that is not a baseball bat. At 9.58 lbs she's a bit on the light side for these fatties. The OPG-II Pickups are wide ranging and full. Coil tapping and tone shaping options are all stock for 1981. There's a lot of life left on those frets. She comes safely packed in the gig bag pictured.
