Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a super clean 1977 Yamaha SG2000 "Les Paul Killer" in Sunburst finish made in Japan. These were dubbed the "Les Paul Killer" for their great tone and versatility and competed favorably with the other solid body electrics from the USA during that era. The proprietary Yamaha Humbuckers are clean and clear like a low wind PAF. They read 6.74k ohms at the neck and 6.73 at the bridge. 2V, 2T, and a 3 way. No push pulls or extras. It's a no nonsense solid body and it comes with the original case in the photos.
The nut measures 1.71", neck depth is .84"-1.00" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a full C carve that feels amazing in the hand. 24.75" scale, 14" radius, 9.7 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio XL 10-46 nickel strings. Action is set at 1.65mm on the low E and 1.35 mm on the high E. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few faint scratches, a couple dings, and a slight seam separation on the back as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.
