Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a killer rare 1977 Yamaha SG700 in Black and including the original hardshell case. The SG700 was Yamaha's Les Paul Standard Killer and they are just that - killer. The proprietary Yamaha SG700 pickups have a great full spectrum PAF low wind tonality with the neck reading 6.87k ohms and the bridge at 6.77k. And this one comes with the original hard case in the photos.
The nut measures 1.69", neck depth is .85"-.95" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a medium C profile that most will find agreeable. 24.75" scale, 14" radius, 9.5 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio 10-46 nickel strings. The frets have been leveled, crowned, and polished for a buzz free playing experience. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.
