Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a great example of the Yamaha Super Bass SB500S is beautiful brown sunburst.  These are always well built basses with great tone and this one is no exception.  Yamaha is well known for their high quality and innovative instruments.  This model was produced from 79-82.  

The nut measures 1.73", the 1st fret depth is .88", and 1.02" at the 12th.  It's a Flat D carve with moderate shoulders and very accessible.  2V, 1T, and an added thumb rest in the perfect spot.  The proprietary S-WX1 pickups really shine and offer excellent dynamics and a wonderful fullness that can fill the room.  The clean up into articulate and detailed little thumpers when you open up the tone.  7.63 ohm neck, 7.51 bridge.  80% fret life remains, polished frets, working truss rod, relief is currently set for optimum playability. 9.82 lbs.
