Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a clean and light Yamaha Super Edition Motion Bass MBIII with a solid Ash body. It's a great sounding bass with powerful, expressive and punchy pickups reading 13.2k ohms at the neck and 12.96 at the bridge. Very well balanced and a lovely player. Affectionately called the "Ladybug" bass in Japan because of the headstock shape. This gem was crafted in Taiwan from select Japanese Sen Ash and Canadian Maple. And it's been professionally set up here in our shop.
The nut measures 1.50", neck depth is .85"-.95" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a medium C carve that most folks would find agreeable. 33.4" scale, 9.5" radius, 7.8 lbs. Freshly set up and accurately intonated with Tomasik 40-100 strings. The frets have been leveled, crowned, and polished. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no unwarranted buzzing or dead spots. comes safely packed in the padded gig bag with one zipper is missing the pull. One knob is a replacement.
