Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a rare and clean 1981 Yamaha Super Flighter Model SF-5000 Set neck Dual Humbucker Solid body with a vintage padded gig bag. This was one of Yamaha's high end set neck solid body guitars from the early 80's and features a solid Alder body, a Maple Set neck, and a dark Rosewood fretboard. You also get a no nonsense control layout with one Volume, one Tone, a coil split and a 3 Way switch to dial it all in.
The nut measures 1.68", neck depth is .85"-.91" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a comfy medium C profile that will feel very familiar to most folks. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. 24.75" scale, 13" radius, 7.48 lbs. There are a few scratches, small dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.
There is a missing "Tone" label on the knob. The frets have been leveled, dressed and polished for a smooth playing experience. It also received a complete deep cleaning. All in all that's over $250 in professional service.
