Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a honey of a 1957 Tweed Princeton with original circuitry. This amp features all original Astron capacitors that have been tested for leakage and drift. They are in unbelievably great shape so we opted to leave them and they sound fantastic. The baffle was changed out for a 12" where a recently reconed 1962 Jensen P12Q now resides. It's a match made in heaven. All vintage tubes include a black plate RCA power tube, a GM Delco preamp tube and a Raytheon rectifier that all test great. It's a solid little amp that delivers that tweed tone in spades.
We received the amp with remnants of a tie dye grill cloth over what we believe to be the original grill cloth. The tie dye cloth protected the original and kept it in fantastic condition.
A replacement 2 prong power cord was added at some point and we opted to leave it since it would preserve the original circuit.
The GG date code appears inside the chassis and on the tube chart. This dates the amp to the middle of 1957.
If you would like a complete recap and three prong power cord added, we can arrange that. It does work flawlessly at this time.
