Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a super clean 1972 Fender Stratocaster Reissue Model ST72-58US from the Fender Made in Japan Vintage Collection 2009-2002. These are some of the best reissues made by Fender and compare favorably to the AVRI offerings of the time. They feature a killer set of USA Vintage Single coils that read 6.13 ohms at the neck, 6.08 middle, and 6.16 at the neck - very accurate to 70's spec. They also feature that same full U neck profile that so many folks prefer. And this one is clean, very clean.
The nut measures 1.66", neck depth is .84"-.97" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. Plays cleanly on a fresh set of D'Addario XL 10-46 nickel strings with accurate intonation. It received a complete Pro service with leveled, crowned and polished frets and electronics cleaning. 25.5" scale, 7.25" radius, 8.0 lbs. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the gig bag in the photos.
