It's the early MKII series with the desirable MKI action featuring the wood one piece keys and the famous Janus preamp. It's one of the best sounding Rhodes MKII suitcase we've had in the shop with a round and growly low end and poiniant high notes. The Janus preamp delivers a smooth equalization and a dreamy vibrato that can be slowed to a slow, swampy effect or dialed up for some crazy warble. It's the complete package.
The power amp delivers an even and warm stereo signal to the original 4 Pyle speakers. It's been tuned, voiced and tested as well as had the electronics cleaned and checked. The 100 watt Haigler power amp operated flawlessly with a low noise floor and excellent response. The Schumacher Transformer dates to the 21st week of 1980. The action is crisp and the felts have a majority of their life left in front of them. This Rhodes is spec'd for 100v AC power and should be used with a drop down transformer or Variac that can be readily purchased online at a multitude of sites.
