Northwest Vintage Guitars proudly presents a 1982 JV Stratocaster with the rarest purple wire lacquered pickups.  Before you fire up the keyboard to tell us they should have copper colored wire, do a quick Google search for "purple wire JV stratocaster pickups" and you will see what we are talking about.  Very rare and either made in Fullerton or assembled in Japan with Fullerton parts.  They're fantastic to say the least.  They all measure in the 6.0 ohm range and offer a bit of chime and sparkle not always attained in other versions.

The nut measures 1.65", neck depth is .83"-.91" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively.  It's an oval C profile that most folks will find familiar.  25.5" scale, 7.25" Radius, 7.5 lbs.  It's an Alder body and a Canadian Maple neck.  The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability.  The fretboard has been refinished over the wear marks as pictured to preserve the relic look and we love it.  The frets have been leveled, polished and everything got a pro setup.  Plenty of fret life left and nothing needed.  The pickguard appears to be the original, but there are extra holes where another pickguard was installed at one time.  Original pots date to 1982.  The Trem unit features saddles from a later MIJ unit, a thicker Gotoh base plate, and the original Fullerton block.  No routes or alterations to the body cavities.  There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured.  It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.  Comes safely packed in the original Fender branded padded gig bag in the photos.
