Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a super clean and 100% original Made in Japan 1998 Fernandes Burny MG-85X Mockingbird Style Electric with the original hard case, owner's manual, locking strap, and Fernandes branded pick in the photos. It's a complete package. The VH-401 pickups deliver tons of clarity and punch. They are controlled by the Volume, a 3-way toggle, and and a mini toggle that bypasses the volume knob and goes direct. The pickups read 11.4 ohms. The case is in remarkable shape right down to the groovy plush blue lining, and all working hinges and latches.
The nut measures 1.60", neck depth is .79"-.88" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a medium C profile with just a slight hint of a soft V in the middle. Very faint, but it's there. 24.75" Scale, 14" radius, 6.5 lbs. Action is set at 4/64" and 3/64" with a fresh set of accurately intonated Ernie Ball 10-46 nickel Slinkys. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. It's a Gravure Flame Maple top. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.
