Northwest Vintage Guitars brings you another gem from 70's Japan - a 1975 Fernandes Burny Custom FST-60CH in great shape and excellent playability. These early Fernandes Strat copies are a blatant recreation of a 70's CBS Stratocaster right down to the double string tree and the bullet truss rod. They look, feel, and sound like the real thing. Love the tones. This can do everything a strat can do. "Free Ride" Strat sound? Nails it. Jimi? Yessir.
Tonewoods include an Ash body and a Maple Neck. Vintage appointments are replicated everywhere; the 3 bolt tilt adjust neck attachment, the "F" Tuners, and the groovy Fernandes branded tolex case with the Fernandes Tail Logo! The nut measures 1.61", 1st fret depth is .88", and it's 1.0" at the 12th. It's a Hefty 70's Fender U carve through and through. It's about the biggest of the 70's Fender carves and it's so comfy. The pickups read 5.46 Neck, 5.43 Middle, and 5.28 at the bridge. 9.83 lbs. This is a very nice example of this model and switch tip is not original.
There are scattered polishing marks, dings, scratches and bumps as pictured. Frets are low at .025" but it remains in good playable condition on leveled, crowned, and polished frets. The truss rod works and the neck is straight. Relief has been set for optimum playability.
