Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a unique Mod Fender Custom Telecaster in Capri Orange. The 5 Ply binding doesn't ring any bells or show up in any catalogs, so even though the neck pocket stamps are consistent with Fender Japan, we are calling this a non-original Fender body. But who knows? It's a Basswood body, maple neck and a rosewood fretboard with 21 vintage spec frets. You get the Fender stamped bridge plate and vintage small threaded saddles. The pickups are consistent with Fender Japan of the era.
The nut measures 1.69", neck depth is .85"-.90" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's an Oval C profile with rolled edges that feels great. Little fret wear, but she plays cleanly up and down the fretboard with no fretting out of your bent notes on the 7.25" radius fretboard. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. 7.36lbs. Comes safely packed in the gig bag in the photos.
