Northwest Vintage Guitars presents an extremely rare Aria Pro II ZZB Deluxe Short Scale bass in Bengal Tiger stripe finish. It's made in Japan in 1984. The ZZB line features an Alder body, Maple neck, and a dark Rosewood fretboard. This one received a pro setup and service and is ready to go. The original pickups read in the 8.3k range and offer and impressive full tonality with a nice round low end, a barky mid and clear highs. 32.25" scale, 9.5" radius, 8.56 lbs. Comes safely packed and fully insured without a case.
The nut measures 1.60", neck depth is .82"-.93" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a comfy C profile most folks are familiar with. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with DR Black Beauties 15-105 and factory spec 6/64"-4/64" action. The truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There is only limited buzzing on the low E string above the 15th fret. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in very good playable condition with no dead spots. The knobs are not original.
