Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a rare Japanese Domestic only Charvel CSB-070 Medium Scale Bass with a solid Sen Ash body made in Japan. These gems feature the low impedence JE-2000 active pickup system with 1 Volume, 1 Bass, 1 Treble, and a pickup blend control. All gold hardware and a translucent finish with a violet overtone. Very nice. 32" scale, 30" radius, 7.69 lbs. The pickups are clear and focused with a great variety of tones on tap. The frets are in great shape exhibiting very little wear when we received it. We leveled a few high frets and gave them all a high polish. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the gig bag in the photos.
The nut measures 1.54", neck depth is .78"-.84 at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a C to D profile like so many of these great Charvel necks. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with 45-105 Nickel Round Wound strings and perfect low action at 2.0mm-1.6mm. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots. One replaced knob as pictured.
