Take this Riviera reissue for example; Solid Mahogany neck, a rosewood fretboard, long neck tenon, and the best Epiphone Mini Humbuckers to ever grace these reissues. We know there are plenty of different iterations of Asian built Rivieras. Some have full sized humbuckers, some don't, some are bolt on, some aren't, so how do you know? We know from trying the others. This is the one you want. The build quality is on par with the finest American makers, the execution is outstanding, and the pickups oh my the pickups.
This version of the Epiphone Mini Humbuckers are outstanding. They read 6.09 in the neck and 6.49 at the bridge. They yield an incredibly articulate clean tonality with warm but clean highs and sweet lows soaked in overtones. It's a joy to play and hard to put down.
The nut measures a very vintage 1.72" and the 1st fret is .87" and grows to .91" at the 12th on a full C carve. There is very little fretwear, almost undetectable. It;s a 24.75" scale and the body is your 16" bout variety. The pot tapers are very nice with no issues in the electronics. 7.8 lbs. Comes safely packed in the original hardshell case in the photos. No disappointments.
