Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a one of a kind ESP Custom Order Lefty Kyoji Yamamoto Artist Model Doublecut with an ESP Flicker Tremolo and LH200 Humbuckers. So much going on here. Start with a solid Mahogany body and a maple cap, add the now legendary LH200 vintage PAF style Alnico III Humbuckers and the clever short lived ESP Flicker Tremolo. Top it off with a racey hot rod inspired paint job and the early ESP logo and you have a gem of a Made in Japan collectible. 25.5" scale, 12" radius, 9.34 lbs. Two ESP branded CTS pots date to the 42nd week of 1984, one pot replaced. The LH200 humbuckers meter 7.5k ohms at the neck and 7.6k ohms at the bridge and deliver a great vintage tone. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the Shimamura fauq leather gig bag in the photos.
The nut measures 1.66", neck depth is .83"-.96" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a great ESP C profile. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Addario XL 10-46 nickel strings and action at 4/64"-3/64". The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. The frets are level, crowned and polished. The fretboard is clean and conditioned. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots. The trem arm assembly is a Floyd Rose replacement. There is a locking nut, but no lock on the bridge side. There are parts included for the locking mechanisms on the bridge, but it is very difficult to get them to work properly. It seems they may have been an early prototype lock that didn't last long. One replaced tone pot. Tone pot taper is steep.
