Northwest Vintage Guitars proudly presents a very rare and hard to find Fender Stratocaster 1962 Reissue model ST62-70TX in rare as hen's teeth Daphne Blue and a Rosewood fretboard. This rarity features the USA Texas Special pickups that deliver that hot Texas tone reading 6.13 ohms at the neck, 6.38 in the middle and 7.51 at the bridge for a little extra oomph when you floor it. It also comes stock with a Solid Alder body and a steel tremolo block. Tone for days.
The nut measures 1.68", neck depth is .86"-.97" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a nice medium oval C profile that everyone gets along with. 25.5" Scale, 7.25 radius, 8.0 lbs. It plays very cleanly with low action on freshly leveled, crowned, and polished frets with a new set of D'Addario 10-46 nickel strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are very tiny dings that are difficult to photograph. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the gig bag and case candy in the photos.
