Northwest Vintage Guitars brings you a great Fender Custom Shop Partscaster of sorts. The body is an alder Custom Shop '54 Relic, the neck is a newer Warmouth Compound radius (we think 9.5"-12") boat hull carve. It's loaded with Custom Shop pickups and CTS pots, cloth wire, USA American Vintage Trem, and an unknown pickguard. It's a solid partscaster that plays and sounds great.
The nut measures 1.71", fret depth is .97" at the first, .95" at the 12th on Warmouth's version of a V carve. Yes, it's thicker at the 1st fret than at the 12th. The neck is straight, the truss rod works, and there is barely any noticable fretwear. Action is low, no dead spots or wonkiness to the neck. It's very resonant and chimey when played unplugged. And it only weighs 7.4 pounds.
