Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a sweet Fender Japan Strat in striking Candy Apple Red. These Standard offerings from Japan were once the only standard strat you could by anywhere in the world, but by 2012 these were produced exclusively for the Japanese domestic market. And you'd be hard pressed to find a better value on a Fender Strat. The ST Japan pickups read 5.4k neck, 5.47k middle, and 5.38k at the bridge. They deliver plenty of Strat chime and warmth and let's not forget the quack on positions 2 and 4 - some of the best tones around from this rendition of the Strat.
The nut measures 1.66", neck depth is .84"-.93" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a nice C carve that's not sharp on the edges. 25.5" scale, 9.5" radius, 7.6 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio 10-46 nickel strings and factory spec action at 1.7mm and 1.3 mm. The frets have been leveled, crowned and polished for a great playing experience. There is a little playwear, but most of it's been dressed out and you won't even notice - have lo look hard. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed in the heavily padded gig bag in the photos.
