Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a 1979 Fender USA Jazz Bass with a Nitro Refinish and DiMarzio PAF pickups. What a killer patina and tons of mojo. The DiMarzio PAF pickups have adjustable pole pieces and read 6.69k ohms at the neck and 6.66k ohms at the bridge. They crank out all the vintage J-Bass tones one could want. The CTS pots all date to 1986. Comes packed safely in the non-original hard case in the photos.
The nut measures 1.50", neck depth is .88"-1.01" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'adarrio NYXL 45-105 strings and perfect factory spec action at 2mm and 1.7mm. 34" scale, 7.25" radius, 10.2lbs. The frets have been leveled, crowned and polished. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Pickguard, strap buttons, one tuner, pots, and finish are not original. Great player bass comes safely packed and fully insured in the case in the photos.
