Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a G&L L-2000 Premium Made in Japan at the Fujigen factory and featuring the USA made MFD pickups and Tri-Tone system with 3-position pickup selector, series/parallel toggle, and active/passive/treble boost modes. It's a beast. G&L started making the Tribute series in Japan to feed the Japan domestic market sometime in the 90's. Tribute production eventually moved to Korea and Indonesia, but Japan production continued under the Premium label. These are well regarded for their high quality woods and top notch craftsmanship. It has a very resonant Solid Ash body, maple neck, and a Rosewood fretboard. 34" scale, 9.5" radius, 8.96 lbs. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the gig bag in the photos.
The nut measures 1.50", neck depth is .82"-.97" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a great comfy C profile that most folks love. Accurately intonated and set up with low spec 2mm action. The frets are polished and level, the fretboard is clean and conditioned. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are very few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots. One replacement knob, one coil of the neck pickup was professionally rewould by Tom Brantly.
