Northwest Vintage Guitars presents the coolest Greco John Sykes Model JS-55 with a Dry pickup in the bridge and an unmarked PAF style humbucker in the neck. It's mae in Japan by Fujigen in 1984 and features a Mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck and a killer dark Rosewood fretboard. If you haven't heard about the "Dry" humbuckers you may have been living under a rock. There were a lot of killer PAF style humbuckers coming out of Japan in the lawsuit era, by the "Dry" pickup is the best of the best. Nearly impossible to match the authentic PAF tone. 24.75" scale, 9.5" radius, 9.78 lbs. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the gig bag in the photos.
The nut measures 1.69", neck depth is .86"-.96" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a great medium C carve. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Addario 10-46 nickel strings and perfect factory spec action at 4-64"-3/64". The frets have been leveled, crowned, and polished and the fretboard is clean and conditioned. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
