Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a super clean Greco Les Paul Custom model EG-800CB from the Fujigen factory in 1978. The PU-2 pickups feature Alnico 5 pickups and deliver tons of sweet woody PAF tones. A seriously great sounding guitar. The neck pickup reads 7.7k ohms, the bridge dials in at 7.8k ohms. This early version Fujigen features a chambered Mahogany and Maple body that gives it a light, hollow, open and woody tonality that's hard to top.
The nut measures 1.72", neck depth is .85"-.96" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a perfect medium C profile that feels great in the hand. 24.75" scale, 14" radius, 8.55 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated on D'Adarrio 10-46 nickel strings. Plays cleanly on leveled, crowned, and polished frets with low 1.75"-1.25" action. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the padded gig bag in the photos. This is one of the best LPCs we've had in quite a while.
There is a missing portion of the headstock's diamond inlay that's been crudely filled with pearloid plastic resin.
