Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a super rare 1975 Greco Melody Maker Model MG-600. These are known for their great sounding Maxon pickups only used on this model and only produced in 1975. Open, airy, defined, they are far better than the actual Gibson Melody Maker pickups. The pots date to late 1974, the pickups date to 1975. This one has a route under the pickguard for a now removed switch. We can't express enough how great these pickups sound - nothing at all like the Gibson predecessors. And it's only 6.48 lbs.
The nut measures ,1.72" neck depth is .83"-.90" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a great feeling mediu C carve you'll love. 24.75" scale, 12" radius, 6.48 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio 10-46 XTs. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. The fretboard was separated and neck cracked when we received it. Our luthier realigned, clamped and glued the fretboard, glued up the neck crack and it's all solid as a rock.
