This instrument was expertly crafted at the Terada factory in Japan. The fit, finish and quality of materials is unlike the now deteriorating USA counterparts. Believe me, if you're looking for a Gretsch - you are going to find the best examples for the money in their Made in Japan lineups. These sport a Maple body with the 17" bout, and it's a thin full Hollowbody. 26.4” scale, 10” radius, Ebony fretboard.
The now legendary Filter 'tron pickups are full of tonal clarity with gritty midrange on tap. You can play with the setting for hours getting new tones. It's very versatile and can pull off a wide range of sonic possibilities.
The nut measures 1.69", neck depth is .82"-.90" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a Slim C with little shoulder and excellent accessibility. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. It's got a fresh fret polish, conditioned fretboard, and a fresh set of nickel strings. There are a couple scratches and dings as pictured, but very few. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. 9.06 lbs.
