Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a very rare and super clean Levinson Blade Telecaster with a resonant Ash Thinline body and the VSC Variable Spectrum Control adjustable active EQ. The Levinson guitars are designed by Gary Levinson in Switzerland and made to exacting standard in Japan. They feature proprietary Levinson pickups, Spertzel locking tuners, Jumbo nickel frets, and select premium tonewoods. It's hard to express how impressive these Levinsons are - you just have to get one in your hands to understand. Swamp Ash body, Maple neck, Ebony fretboard. 25.5" scale, 14" radius, 9.12 lbs. The passive pickups read 5.85k ohms at the neck and 6.62k at the bridge. Judging from the headstock shape and specs we would date this to an early 90's model - possibly 1991 or 1992. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the gig bag in the photos.
The nut measures 1.64", neck depth is .82"-.89" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a C profile. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Addario 10-46 nickel strings and factory spec low action at 4/64"-3/64". The frets are level and polished and exhibit no fret wear. The fretboard is clean and conditioned. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
