Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a rare Kawase Gakki built Master Martin D-28 inspired Dreadnought model 100H featuring all solid wood construction.  Kawase Gakki was the first distributor of Martin guitars in Japan and it wasn't long before they decided to build their own Martins.  It's got a solid Spruce top, solid Indian Rosewood sides and back, and the X-Braced design pioneered by Martin.  The Martin emulation carries on the the figured Ebony fretboard and the Ebony bridge.  25.4" scale, 12" radius, 5.05 lbs.  It has a very forthright sound and projects very well throughout the tonal spectrum.  Very warm, very impressive.  It comes safely packed and fully insured in the original Kawase hard case in the photos.

The nut measures 1.74", neck depth is .89"-1.0" at the 1st and 10th frets respectively.  It's a substantial C profile.  Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Addario 12-53 Bronze strings.  Our Luthier crafted a new bone nut and saddle.  There are 3 repaired and cleated back cracks, the bridge has been reglued, 2 loose braces were repaired, 2 top cracks were repaired, and a complete re-fret and fretboard planing was performed.  It needs nothing. The neck is straight and the relief is currently offering optimum playability.  Like Martin, it does not have a truss rod.  There are scattered scratches and dings as pictured.  Weather checking throughout.  It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing.
