Northwest Vintage Guitars is proud to present a great Lawsuit Era JB-45R Jazz Bass from Tokai. Tokai has always been a top tier Japanese builder, and in 1984 they were in their glory days. Their LP, ST, JB, and PB series were frequently rated as equals or better than anything coming out of the states at the time. Take this Jazz Bass with the dark Rosewood fretboard and perfect 70's three Tone Sunburst. The vintage appointments include the wide base paddle tuners, vintage single coil Tokai JB pickups, threaded saddles, and even a full thickness headstock. It's 70's Fender at a fraction of the price.
You get the same materials as the American offerings at the time. It's an Alder body, maple neck, Rosewood fretboard, 20 Vintage spec frets, 2V, 1T, and a ton of mojo. the nut measures 1.53", fret depth is .77" - .96" on an Oval C profile. The Neck is straight, the truss rod is tight but can still adjust in both directions. The frets are in great shape with very little playwear and most of their life left in front of them. Comes safely packed in the original padded gig bag in the photos. One paddle reparied with solder, 9.1 lbs.
