Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a rare Tokai Love Rock Gold Top with an added matching middle pickup to make this a 3 pickup monster. The middle pickup was professionally added with a factory matching route and a proper Gotoh humbucker like the others. The neck reads 8.23k ohms, middle is 10.9k, and the neck is 8.13k. The 3 way toggle is neck in the up position, neck and bridge in the center, and Middle and bridge out of phase the down position. Theres a master tone to dial in that woman tone. The bridge and middle together effect the volume sweeps as the pots are cranked since it increases the out of phase effect. It's a killer combo that can dial in a plethora of tones.
The nut measures 1.73", neck depth is .82"-.92" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a medium C carve that most folks will find agreeable. 24.75" scale, 12" radius, 8.9 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio 10-42 nickel strings. The frets have been leveled, crowned, and polished. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed in the padded gig bag in the photos. There is a repaired crack in the headstock overlay, not the headstock itself, just the overlay. Non original strap buttons, pickguard, center pickup and bezel.
