Northwest Vintage Guitars brings you a lovely Tokai T400R 5 String Banjo from 1977.  It's a cool mashup of familiar vintage features and a nod to the standards of an era.  From the Deering-like Hoop to the Gibson-esque oval orange label.  And check out that Vintage original hardshell case with the groovy bright blue lining.  All the latches work and the hinges are in order.  It's a tidy package.

Tokai has built a reputation for crafting timeless designs with expert craftsmen using only high quality materials.  The one piece Mahogany neck has a very Gibson medium C carve.  It's a 1.21" nut, rosewood fretboard and it looks like a 5 Star Elite head measuring 11".  We did not tension the head, but we did give it a good cleaning, a fresh set of Nickel strings and a decent setup.  It's a substantial instrument at 8.7 lbs and has a bold voice with great projection and dynamics.  Comes safely packed in the hardshell case in the photos.
