Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a rare one off built Watanabe St style single humbucker electric from the 70's or 80's. These were believed to be crafted in the shop of reknowned Japanese luthier Yukihiro Watanabe who was known for making high quality classical and acoustic guitars. This one features a single humbucker that reads 6.92k ohms and has a great clarity. It has a brass Gotoh style tremolo with a high mass block. Comes safely packed in the Kaces padded gig bag in the photos.
The nut measures 1.63", neck depth is .87"-.95" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a great medium C profile and a nice Rosewood fretboard that's worth the price of admission. Strung and accurately intonated with Ernie Ball 10-46 nickel strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There was an added jack cup output that's roughy filled and covered with the Dunlop sticker. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. There is some buzzing here and there on low action. It also has some areas of dirt and staining. Nice relic guitar.
