Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a 1985 Yamaha BBX Bass in 100% original condition and sporting a pro setup. The BBX is the bolt-on brother of the venerable BB-3000 and features all the swagger and charm of it's big brother. 34" scale, 10" radius, 9.02 lbs. It's a Yamaha proprietary PJ pickup configuration with a blade single in the bridge position and a split single coild in the neck. They deliver a well-defined tonality with excellent clarity and separation. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the padded gig-bag in the photos.
The nut measures 1.56", neck depth is .80"-.99" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a medium C profile that will agree with most folks. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with American made nickel 45-105 strings and factory spec 5/64"-4/64" action. The frets have been leveled, crowned, and polished and the fret board conditioned. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
