Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a clean 1986 Yamaha LS-8 Concert sized all solid wood acoustic with the original hard case and a bunch of case candy. These feature a solid Spruce top, solid Indian Rosewood back and sides, a Mahogany neck, and a Rosewood fretboard. The LS series is Yamaha's High End offerings n their production line instruments. You have to get to the Custom Shop guitars to get a higher quality instrument.
The nut measures 1.71", neck depth is .85"-.97" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a medium C profile. Great tone from this example on fresh D'Addario Phosphor Bronze 12-53 strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. Action is set at a very playable 2.5 mm on the low E, 2.0 mm on the high E. This received a full service and setup in our luthier's shop (a $250 value). The saddle hiegth measures 1.5mm with a notched bridge under the B and E strings to provide ample breakover. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the original hard case and accessories in the photos.
