Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a sweet 1976 Yamaha SG2000 Solid Body classic double cut. These iconic guitars were the Les Paul Killers of the day. Championed by Carlos Santana, he famously sported one for decades. These come with very articulate proprietary humbuckers that read 6.74k ohms at the neck and 6.94k at the bridge. These incredibly well crafted instruments are known for their great tone, playability, and sustain. Often surpassing Gibson offerings of the era.
The nut measures 1.70", neck depth is .88"-1.01" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a full C profile that feels great in the hand. 24.75" scale, 12" radius, 9.83 lbs. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Adarrio 10-46 XL strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. There is a shim under the nut and a wood plug patch under the non original toggle and poker chip. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the heavily padded soft case in the photos.
