Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a well loved and professionally serviced 1990 BC Rich Mockingbird Bass model MB-857. These feature a Maple body, BC Rich proprietary PJ pickups, and the Super 2100 multi-laminate neck with an Ebonite fretboard. What makes this one special is the 32" Scale with the Super 2100 neck. Very very rare and super cool. 12" radius, 9.02 lbs. We did a few much needed repairs; the neck mounting holes have been plugged and re-drilled, the bridge pickup was replaced with a period correct spec BC Rich pickup, 5 Pickup mounting screws were plugged and replaced, and the knobs are non-orignal replacements. It comes safely packed and fully insured in the original BC Rich faux leather padded gig bag in the photos.
The nut measures 1.66", neck depth is .81"-.93" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a great C profile. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with NYXL 45-105 nickel strings and perfect 5/64"-4/64" action. The frets are level, the fretboard is clean. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots. These are extremely rare and you may never see one again.
