Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a super clean and rare Fernandes Burny Les Paul Junior model FTV-50 in fetching TV Yellow from the mid 70's. It's clean, professionally set up, and lightweight. 24.75" scale, 10" radius, 7.43 lbs. It includes the cool vintage 70's MIJ case with the chrome-like moulding. We love these Burny offerings and have been impressed every time we get one in. This one sports a Silverheart body, a Silverheart set neck, and a Rosewood fretboard. Silverheart is a very rare and dense hardwood from Eastern Africa and parts of Southeast Asia. It was prized for it's hardness and once was used for bowling alley lanes. This example is extremely light for this species. The "Les Paul" silkscreen has been rubbed off and the tuners appear to be original spec from a different model but are factory original. The nut measures 1.74", neck depth is .85"-.93" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a comfy C profile. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Addario XL 10-46 nickel strings and 4/64"-3/64" action. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. The frets are level and polished, the fretboard is clean and conditioned. Non original CTS pots, original P90 style single coil reads 7.71k ohms. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
