Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a super clean 1987 Fernandes Heavy Metal Version Explorer model BX-60 featuring a solid Alder body, a Maple neck, Rosewood Fretboard, and the Head Banker locking tremolo system. The short lived explorer was a short scale model with a smaller body than it's Gibson brethren. Two Fernandes Humbuckers deliver the high gain tone and meter in the 11k ohm range. 24" scale, 10" radius, 7.52 lbs. Comes safely packed and fully insurec in the gig bag in the photos.
The nut measures 1.65", neck depth is .83"-.93" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a nice navigable C profile. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Addario XL nickel 10-46 strings and low factory spec 4-64"-3/64" action. The frets are level and polished, the fretboard is cleaned and conditioned. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. There are very few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
