Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a rare Made in Japan Grover Jackson Soloist model SL.I-190 with the original case and including all the case candy in the photo. These Soloist models were made at the Chushin factory and bound for the Japanese domestic market exclusively. Very few have made it to the states. They feature a solid Ash body, a Canadian Maple neck, and a bound dark Rosewood fretboard with Shark Fin Inlays with a iridescent color changing tinted metallic urethane that changes from a dark brown stain to a bluish tint with purple overtones. The JE-1550 Active circuitry combined with the TD5 Trembucker, Jackson J200, and the SF-6 pickups give a dizzying myriad of tonal options ranging from screaming, searing solo tones to moody dark warm lows. It's a powerful tone machine. Comes with the original case with all working latches and hinges.
The nut measures 1.63", neck depth is .75"-.82" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a very svelte C profile. it received new knobs, a replacement tremolo arm, electronics cleaning, fret level and dress, and a original spec TB5 humbucker. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. 25.5" scale, 14" radius, 7.36 lbs. There are a few scratches, dings, and dents as pictured. The Floyd Rose has some rust spots. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots or unwarranted buzzing. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the original hard case in the photos.
