Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a rare Jackson Stars Soloist set neck super strat model SL-1 from 1999. These Chusin Gakki crafted instruments are produced in Japan exclusively for the Japanese domestic market and select countries outside of the USA. If you were in Japan in 1999 and wanted the top of the line Jackson domestic super shredder, this is it. This rendition of the Soloist features the Seymour Duncan STKS1 Stacked Single Coils in the neck and middle, and a TB-5 Custom Humbucker in the bridge. This is a great pickup combo that set the bar in 99. The original bridge is a German made Schaller licensed Floyd Rose.
The nut measures 1.62", neck depth is .77"-.84" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a svelte slim C profile that's expertly and elegantly sculpted into the body for a seamless, heel-less playing experience. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability.
It's a maple neck through Alder body that resonated and rumbles in your hands. 1V, 1T, and a 5 way. There are scattered scratches, dings, and polishing marks as shown. It remains in excellent playable condition. 8.08 lbs, comes safely packed in the gig bag in the photos.
