Northwest Vintage Guitars proudly presents a 2005 Schecter Platinum Wood Series PW-ST-KA in very rare 2 tone sunburst. This was part of the Traditional MIJ Series that were only sold in Japan and select international markets. It's a solid lightweight Korina (White Limba) body, a Maple bolt on neck, and a dark Rosewood fretboard. It's a top tier instrument and you can feel it when you hold in your hands. The fit and finish is flawless, the fretboard edges are expertly rolled, a heel adjust "wheel" truss rod, and the hardware is the finest Gotoh has to offer. 25.5" scale, 12" radius, 8.39 lbs. It has the laser etched "Schecter Guitar Research" in the neck pocket and on the neck. The raised polepiece pickups all read in a nice vintage range; 6.06k neck, 5.99k middle, 6.34 bridge. It comes safely packed in the original Schecter case with all working hinges and one non working latch.
The nut measures 1.66", neck depth is .80"-.87" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a comfy C profile. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with D'Addario balanced tension 10-46 nickel strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. Action is a low spec 4/64"and 3/64". It looks like there is little to no fretwear and it plays cleanly. It is in excellent playable condition with no dead spots. Mint condition. The trem arm is a Gotoh factory replacement.
