Northwest Vintage Guitars presents a super clean 1980 Yamaha SR400 Super R'n Roller Stratocaster with a solid Ash body and fetching 3 tone sunburst finish. These were part of Yamaha's entry into the lawsuit era market and they pack a ton of value. You get Yamaha's proprietary single coil pickups that read 5.67k ohms at the neck, 5.57k middle, and 5.77k at the bridge. They sound like a Strat but with a little more dry, open tone that is very pleasing. 25.5" scale, 7.25" radius, 7.73 lbs. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the gig bag in the photos.
The nut measures 1.61", neck depth is .83"-.97" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a great tapered medium C profile that beefs up nicely around the 12th. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with d'Addario XL 10-46 nickel strings and low factory spec action at 4/64"-3/64". The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. Sen Ash body, Maple neck and fretboard. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
