Northwest Vintage Guitars presents the holy grail of the Revstar Series - a 2016 Yamaha Rusty Rat model RSP-20CR in remarkable condition and including the original hard shell case. This is the first generation Revstar made in Japan with the smaller body and the brass pickguard that ages to a lovely patinae. The Yamaha custom wound VH-7 humbuckers are so versatile and warm. It features a push pull tone to activate the Dry Circuit that acts as a high pass. The pickups read 7.8k ohms at the neck and 8.35k at the bridge. 24.75" scale, 14" radius, 8.76 lbs. There's one ding and some light scratches on the back. It's a Mahogany back with a maple cap, a Mahogany neck and a dark premium Rosewood fretboard. There's barely any fret wear. It comes safely packed and fully insured in the hard case in the photos.
The nut measures 1.68", neck depth is .82"-.98" at the 1st and 12th frets respectively. It's a medium C profile that feels great in the hand. Freshly strung and accurately intonated with 10-46 nickel strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod turns in both directions, and the relief is currently set for optimum playability. The frets are clean and the fretboard is clean and conditioned. There are a few scratches and one ding on the back as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
