These were built during the heyday of classical construction in Japan. The tight grain Spruce top and laminate Rosewood back and sides appeared later in Yamaha's catalog on much higher cost instruments. Nato (Asian Mahogany) Neck, Rosewood bridge, and a stained wood fretboard. 4.5mm-3.3mm action. Every note rings clear. Comes safely packed and fully insured in the chipboard case in the photos.
The nut measures 52mm, neck depth is 23-25mm at the 1st and 10th frets respectively. Freshly strung with D'Addario Pro Arte Medium Tension strings. The neck is straight and the relief currently offers optimum playability. The frets and fretboard are clean and conditioned. There are a few scratches and dings as pictured. It remains in excellent playable condition with no dead spots.
